Nicholas (Nick) Wayne Dovel was born in Alexandria, VA on May 20, 1978. He passed away in Henrico, VA in December 2019. He is survived by his parents, Wayne Dovel and Bobbie Dovel, of Spotsylvania, VA; and his sister, Kelly Adams (brother-in-law Dean Adams) and his two nieces Danielle Adams and Sydney Adams, of Spotsylvania, VA.

Nick grew up in Woodbridge, VA. He liked cars, playing baseball, and hanging out with his neighborhood friends. Nick graduated from Potomac Senior High School. He later left Woodbridge for Spotsylvania, VA to be near family. Nick eventually moved to the Richmond, VA area for employment. He first worked for Henrico County and lastly for VDOT.

Nick had a soft heart. He had a knack for handling finances. He was a hard worker. He was a doting uncle. Nlck was truly a good son, brother, uncle and friend; he genuinely cared. He will be deeply missed, always loved, and forever remembered.

A small, private burial service will take place at Laurel Hill Memorial Park in Spotsylvania, VA. At this time, Nick's immediate family is not able to emotionally deal with his loss and cannot handle a big service open to all. Please continue to keep our Nick in your prayers.
