Olga Gibbs Creef, 87, formerly of Manteo, N.C., died Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at Mary Washington Hospital. She resided in Locust Grove with her daughter Sheila and her partner, Nancy Scott.
She was born July 10, 1920, in Englehard, N.C., the daughter of the late Sam Jones and Mary Mydgette Gibbs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Howard Creef. She partnered with her husband in running small family businesses.
She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth "Libby" Creef-Blizzard of Manteo and Sheila Creef of Locust Grove; a granddaughter, India Creef-Blizzard of San Diego, Calif.; her sister-in-law, Ruby Eves and her husband, Billy; her brother-in-law, H.A. Creef and his wife, Elizabeth "Liz;" loving family friends, Dora Carrillo of Alexandria and the Bradberry-Galbo family of Chevy Chase, Md.; and her special friends at Lake of the Woods.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in North Carolina.
Laurel Hill Funeral Home, 10127 Plank Road, Spotsylvania, is serving the Creef family.
