Paul Miller, 40, of Aldie, Va., died August 8, 2018, following a brief illness. He was born September 25, 1977, at Fort Huachuca, Arizona, the son of Jerry and Bea (Yslas) Miller. He attended Northern Virginia Community College and graduated from Robinson High School in 1995.

Paul was an avid sports fan who loved the Denver Broncos and the World Champion Washington Capitals.  Paul was very committed to the compassionate care of all animals, but especially dogs.  He volunteered his time at various no-kill animal shelters in the area and worked tirelessly to ensure all of man's best friends were loved and had a home.  Paul supported the military and loved his country.  Finally, Paul was a kind and generous soul who was loved by all.

Paul is survived by his parents Jerry and Bea of Spotsylvania, VA., his brothers: Kirk, of Glen Cove, New York, Erik of Gainesville, Virginia and Brian of Zebulon, North Carolina.  He also leaves his sisters in-law Deana and Jennifer as well as his nieces and nephews: Ryan, Riley, Mackenna, Evyn, Jacob, Brendan, Trevor and Cameron.  He is also survived by his beloved dog, Peyton.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Laurel Funeral Home in Spotsylvania.  A private family funeral will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.  A celebration of Paul's life will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the Loudoun County Animal Shelter, 39820 Town Pike Ste 66, Watertown VA, 20197.
