Raymond M. Kalbacher, 81 of Lake of the Woods, Locust Grove, died Sunday, August, 16, 2009, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Born in Connecticut, he was the son of the late John and Irene Deacon Kalbacher. Mr. Kalbacher was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Korea. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Therese Kalbacher; daughter, Trezy Barb and her husband John of Germantown, TN; son, Tom Kalbacher and his wife Stefi of Springboro, OH; and six grandchildren, Patrick, Scott, Kerry, Katie, Elizabeth, and Matthew.
A funeral mass will be conducted at 11:00AM Thursday, August 20, 2009 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with Fr. Michael Taylor serving as the celebrant. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Mr. Kalbacher and his family are in the care of Laurel Hill Funeral Home, 10127 Plank Road, Spotsylvania.
