Rebecca "Beckie" Ann Martin of Spotsylvania, VA, died Monday, January 18, 2021 from complications due to COVID 19. She was born in Buena Vista, VA. and was the daughter of the late Warren A. Floyd and Patricia Floyd. Beckie worked at McLane Mid Atlantic for over 20 years as the transportation supervisor. She was the loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and girlfriend to Stephen Austin. Including her little pooch Lilly. In addition to her parents, Beckie was preceded in death by her brother, John Floyd and two sisters Brenda Floyd and Cyndi Ross. Her step-daughter Tina Arms and her beloved late husband of 30 years, Herman A. Martin, Jr. who passed due to colon cancer in 2010.
She is survived by her daughters Patricia "P.J." Martin and her fiancé Paul Crist, Jr. and Bridget Martin, of Spotsylvania, V;. three grandchildren, Christian Pullen and his fiancé Rachel Furrow, Rylee Arms, and Jordan Martin. Her great-grandchild, Maya Pullen and another due in July. Her brother, Allen Floyd, sister, Jeannette Floyd and her partner Layton Fairchild, Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 9 AM in the Laurel Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 10127 Plank Rd., Spotsylvania, VA. Interment will follow in the Laurel Hill Memorial Park. Due to COVID restrictions there will be limited guests able to attend. If you would like to attend please contact the family.
