Richard John "Dick" Todd, 81, of Locust Grove, moved to his Heavenly home, Saturday June 28, at Carriage Hill Health, with his beloved ones by his side.
He was born on July 28, 1932 in East Swanzey, NH to Clarence & Marie Louise Todd. Dick served in the US Navy from 1951 to 1955. He married Barbara Ann Fletcher, on Aug. 10, 1957 and they made their home in Washington, D.C. for 46 years before moving to Locust Grove, VA. He worked for Kann's department store as a buyer, then as an outside salesman for AW Industries for over 45 years, retiring in 2000.
Dick was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Fredericksburg.
Survivors include, his wife, Barbara; 4 sons; Mark (Lesley) Todd, Greg (Kathleen) Todd, Tim (Shelly) Todd, John (Cindy) Todd; 2 dau; Susan (Gregory) Lucas, MaryBeth (Gregory) Beck; 1 bro.; George Todd; 9 grandchildren; Samantha, Holly, Jeremy, Ashley, Zachary, Cameron, Sergey, John, Axel; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, 1 bro. Phillip, and 4 sisters, Corine, Phyllis, Jean and Nancy.
Visitation will be held at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Wed. July 2, 2014 from 3 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm, with Rosary to be said at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 1 P.M. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Fredericksburg. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park, Spotsylvania, VA.
