Robert Courtney Beans died June 12th 2024 at Mary Washington Hospital peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 29th 1940 in Annandale, VA to parents Robert and Evelyn Beans. He is survived by his spouse, Rena of 63 years, his 3 sons, Charles Beans (Laura) and their daughters Ashley and husband Jared Arentz and their 2 children Lincoln and Bennett, daughter Jordan and her husband Jake Bohn and their children Everett and Magnolia, 2nd son Mark Beans (Lisa), daughter Amber Beans and her son Leo, Corey Beans, Wesley Beans and Connor Beans, and 3rd son, Daniel and his fiancée, Beth Sheerin and his sons, Matt Beans, Tyler Beans and his daughter Kaitlyn Beans. Bob has 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased in death by his parents, Robert and Evelyn Beans, his older sister Virgina and brother-in-law, Coleman Smith. He also is beloved by his sister-in-law, Jean Stadig and her spouse Allen Stadig. He grew up in Annandale, Va and attended Annandale High School. He joined the Airforce in March 1958 and served until December 1962. He got married May 8th 1961 in Fort Kent, ME at Saint Louis Catholic Church to Rena Mae Dubois. They relocated back to Annadale, VA in December 1962. He was employed with Safeway Grocery Stores for 35 years as a meatcutter and retired in 1993. He and Rena raised their family in Manassas, VA and they created many special memories living on Chatham Street. He had two passions in his life, one was his family, and the other was playing golf. He and Rena were passionate about attending their sons' sporting events and when that was over, they continued traveling and attending their grandchildrens' events and milestones. His other passion was playing golf and going on his golf trips with his sons, grandsons and many other special friends that he met along the way. After retirement he and Rena moved to Martinsburg, WV where he became a die-hard West VA fan. They later moved to Locust Grove, VA where he lived out his dream by living on a golf course and then having a golf cart to claim as his own. He was a member of the American Legion in Manassas, VA and was a devoted father, husband, and grandfather.
