Robert "Bob" Dean Foster, 55, of Fredericksburg passed away in Arlington, VA after an short illness. Bob was born on October 21, 1961 to Bobbie Dean and Gloria June (Harris) Foster in St. Mary's MD.
After graduating, Bob continued his education at a vo-tech school where he learned Information Technology. He married Diana Harbord on May 9, 1987 and they had just celebrated thirty years together, before his death. Bob worked for Kaseman/American Management Systems for 30 years. Then he continued working for a friend with a cab company. His wife said "that Bob loved to tinker with things. He was especially fond of renovating their home, with the electrical, plumbing and wood work." He was an avid photographer, and actually is in very few family pictures, because he was the cameraman. Bob is survived by his wife, Diana, two sons; Casey (Casey Leitch), Travis; sister, Laura Thorhauer (John) and three grandchildren Nick Weller, Alex and Korah Foster and nieces and nephews, Megan and Michael Rock, Caitlin Ventura and Kirsten Thorhauer. Family will receive friends from 6 to 7 pm on Wednesday May, 17, 2017 at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, with a memorial service to begin at 7 pm with Pastor Bob Bock officiating.
