Obit for Mr. Robert I. Evans
Robert Ival Evans, 87, of Fredericksburg, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2005 at Carriage Hill Nursing Home.
Mr. Evans was a WWII Navy Veteran, a retired meat cutter from the A&P in Alexandria, VA, with 24 years of service and was a former deacon in his church in Excelsior, WVA.
He is survived by his wife Ruth Evans, his son, Thomas Evans of Fredericksburg, two daughters, Linda Sue Honaker of Newport News and Ida Charlene Thompson of Unionville, a brother, Charles Evans, Jr. of Ypsilanti, MI and two sisters, Elsie Criter of Cretta, WVA, ten grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted 11AM Thursday March 24, 2005, at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Spotsylvania and the burial will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7:00 - 8:30 PM at the funeral home.
