Robert J. Harrington, 77, passed away peacefully Monday, February 5th, at his home in Locust Grove, VA. Robert was a deeply loved husband, father, brother, and friend. He was born on February 1st, 1947 in Alexandria, VA to Samuel and Katherine Harrington, and became a brother to Samuel (Odette) Harrington Jr. and Stephen (Linda) Harrington. After honorably serving in the US Air Force during the Vietnam war, Robert met the love of his life, Linda Carr, later marrying her in May of 1984.

Together the family of Robert and Linda Harrington grew to include Scott Harrington, Diana (Joe) Facenda, Paula (Joey) Arnold, and Wade (Aida) Harrington. Robert would later become the proud grandfather of 10 wonderful grandchildren.

Robert was known as a knowledgeable and capable Logistics Manager for the Department of Defense throughout his career, and when he was home he was known as the Washington Redskins' biggest fan and the home's greatest cook. Robert Harrington was preceded in death by his beloved parents, as well as his brother, Samuel Lawrence Harrington, Jr.

A visitation for Robert will be held at Laurel Hill Funeral Home on Monday, February 12th, at 10AM. A funeral service will be held thereafter at 11AM, followed immediately by a graveside service at Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
