Obit. For Mr. Robert J. Porthouse
Robert J. Porthouse, 84, of Fredericksburg, formerly of Williamsport, PA., passed away Tuesday August 24, 2004 at Mary Washington Hospital, Fredericksburg, Va.
Mr. Porthouse was a WWII Army Veteran, worked the last 30 years as the sales manager at Ecks Garage in Williamsport, PA and was a member of Annunciation Roman Catholic Church in Williamsport.
He is survived by his wife, of 60 yrs, Marguerite M. Porthouse, his two sons; Paul Porthouse of Dale City, VA and Robert Porthouse of Plainfield, New Hampshire, his daughter; Janice Emmott of Las Vegas, NM. and four grandchildren, Paul and Sean Porthouse and Joshua and Evan Emmott.
A family gathering with friends will be held Friday Sept. 3, 2004 at Laurel Hill Funeral Home from 7-9 pm and a Memorial Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Fredericksburg on Saturday Sept. 4, 2004 at 11 am. Pastor Donald J. Rooney officiating. Inurnment will follow at Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
