"RD" of Christiansburg, Virginia, died peacefully at home on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at the age of 79. He is survived by his loving children, Brenda Myers, Serena, Tyler, Richard, and Robert (Charolette) McMillan; siblings, Gwen Purcell, Barbara (Joe) Turner, Peggy McMillan and Marva Dooley. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Cameron Long, Kamal Davis McMillan, Tyler Gibran McMillan, Jr., Terrell Burkes and Allan Price., great-grandchildren, Brayden Burkes, Kendric Burkes, Adrienne Price and Dominic Price and lots of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

RD is preceded in death by his parents, Mable Purvis and Robert Lee McMillan; siblings, Doug, Richard and Bonnie Sue McMillan. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army and will be laid to rest at Quantico National Cemetery at a later date.
