Rose Tice, 103, died peacefully in her sleep on July 10, 2024, while in the wonderful care of Louisa Health & Rehab Center. She was born September 16,1920, in Akron, Ohio the daughter of Tony and Consolata (Masciana) Baldino.

Rose valued family above all else, caring for her ill mother and her younger brothers after her mother's early passing. She met and married the love of her life, Homer Dean Tice on July 9, 1946. During WWII, Rose served her country working in a factory as a riveter. After the war, she was a noble Navy wife and served as "First Lady" of the VFW Post 106 in Akron, Ohio where Dean was the Commander. She was the proud mother of Edward Dean Tice and Daniel Allen Tice (Maggie). The title that Rose held most dear was that of "Nana". Rose is the beloved grandmother to Dana Tice Drudge (Adam), Lisa Tice, and Tony Tice, and great-grandmother to Ethan & Cameron Fyock, Owen, Riley, & Sarah Cahill, and Carson, Jackson, & Adelyn Tice.

In addition to her parents, Rose was predeceased by her husband, Homer Dean Tice, son, Edward Dean Tice, daughter, Maggie Tice, her stepmother Rosa Baldino, and her brothers Joe (Delma), Al (Doris), Frank (Toni), & Dom (Lou) Baldino, and countless friends and family members. Rose is survived by her son, Dan Tice, her grandchildren, her great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 pm Thursday, July 18 at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, 10127 Plank Road, Spotsylvania, VA 22553 with a reception immediately following. As we all know, Rose loved rainbows and butterflies. Please wear brightly colored clothing in honor of her vibrant life!
