Rufus David Fletcher, Sr., age 69, of Spotsylvania, passed away Nov. 9, 2003 at his home. He retired after 34 years from G & H Manufacturing and also retired from Rappahannock Security Center after 10 yrs. and was currently employed with Spotsylvania County. Mr. Fletcher was also a member of Belmont Baptist Church. Mr. Fletcher also coached and played softball and baseball for 30 years. He is survived by: his Wife of 50 years Nancy Fletcher, 3 Sons Rufus David Fletcher, Jr., Timothy Rae Fletcher, and Gary Lee Fletcher, 1 Daughter Nancy Carol Morgan, 3 Grandsons Rufus David Marshall Fletcher, Marshall Lane Morgan, and Jonathan William Fletcher, 3 Granddaughters Kimberly Dawn Reid, Tabitha Renee Fletcher, and Tiffani Rae Fletcher, 3 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Brother T. L. Fletcher, and 2 Sisters Lena Hatchel and Earlene Palmer. Visitation will be Tues., Nov. 11, 2003, from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm at Laurel Hill Funeral Home. Services will be Wed., Nov. 12, 2003, at 2:00 pm in the Chapel with burial to follow at Laurel Hill Memorial Park. Services will be conducted by Rev. Vernon Berry and special music by Charles Hatchel and daughters.
