Ruth L. Kazee, 92, of Fredericksburg, passed away at Woodmont Center on Monday, August 24, 2015. Ruth was born to Harry Bernard and O'Linda (Peterson) Klope on October 5, 1922, in Madison, WI. She worked at Oscar Mayer in Madison, Wisconsin for over twenty seven years. She married Paris Kazee, Jr on Sept. 13, 1979 in Madison. They moved to the Fredericksburg area in 1983 and Ruth began working at the Silver Company. In addition, she volunteered at Mary Washington Hospital for almost twenty years. Ruth was active at Christ Lutheran. She was a member of several community organizations, including the Commonwealth Club and Red Hat Society.
Survivors include; daughter, Sharon Goff; Step-son, Gary Kazee (Dee); step-daughter, Linda R Doolittle (Jim); sister, Helen George; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Paris, sister, Dorothy; a step-son Stephen D Kazee and a grandson, Christopher McMillan.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Laurel hill Funeral Home, Spotsylvania, from 4 pm to 6 pm and funeral services will be on Sunday August 30, 2015 at Christ Lutheran Church, Fredericksburg, at 2 pm. Interment services at Laurel Hill Funeral Home will be open to friends and family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Christ Lutheran Church Food Pantry. Ruth's family would also like to express a special Thanks to her precious neighbors of over 30 years for their support, friendship and most of all, Love.
