Sharon W. Cole, 75, of Locust Grove, VA passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.  Sharon was born on July 12, 1949 in Pensacola, Florida.

Sharon grew up in the military and spent time in England and Greece.  She graduated High School from the American School in Athens, Greece.  Sharon worked for the US Geological Survey, was a member of the Lake of the Woods Church, and a talented crafter.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, her parents Lillian and Fred Winecoff, and two daughters, Heather and Jessica.

Cherishing her memory are her daughters, Rebecca Marie Cole and Catherine Cole Hontos, and son Kevin William Cole.  She will be remembered as an adoring Nana/Mommom to her three grandchildren; Liliana Cole-Schlosser, Rosalyn Hontos and Konnor Hontos.  She is also survived by her brother, Richard Winecoff and sister, Michelle Winecoff.

A Memorial Service will be held at Lake of the Woods Church on  Friday, January 3, 2025 at 11:00 am.
