Shirley S. Gillespie
Shirley Suggs Gillespie, 75, of Locust Grove, VA passed away Thursday Sept. 9, 2010 at her residence.
Mrs. Gillespie worked for 7 yrs with the Agricultural Department; Macy's Department Store (Hechts) and she retired from the Prince William County Library System.
She is survived by her husband, of 56 years, Vernon W. Gillespie, her two sons and their wives, Richard Lee Gillespie and Jacque of Lawton, OK and Stuart W. Gillespie and Kate of Jersey City, NJ, her daughter and her husband, Heather Ann Rice and James of Myrtle Beach, SC. Also, she is survived by her five grandchildren; Heath J. Gillespie, Tyler L. Gillespie, Ariel G. Gillespie, Haylee D. Brown and Christopher Rice.
A graveside funeral ceremony will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
