Shirley A. VanEpps , 85, peacefully joined her loving husband Ward Kenneth VanEpps on Tuesday, June 19, 2012. Born July 22, 1927 to the late Warren and Elsie Countryman Franklin in New York. Surviving are her children Bernitta (Bea) Phelps and husband Alan, Peggy VanEpps and husband Randy, Barbara Smith, Melvin Berkman and wife Claudia, Robert, Debbie Wheeler and husband Joe, daughter-in-law Sally VanEpps as well as many loving grandchildren , great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ward Kenneth VanEpps, and sons Harold Berkman and Kenneth VanEpps. Services begin at 2:00 PM on Friday June 22, 2012 at Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to Rappahannock Area Agency on Aging or the Dogwood Village Health and Rehab, 120 Dogwood Lane, Orange Virginia 22960. Laurel Hill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
