Obituary
Sylvester Eugene Walker, 78, of Spotsylvania, passed away Thursday August 11, 2011 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Mr. Walker was a retired Air Force meteorologist, computer programmer, and an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Walker; two sons, Richard Walker of Olney, MD and Stanley Walker and wife Sheila of Glenn Dale, MD; two daughters, Linda Hamilton and husband Dennis Phillips of Boston, MA, and Eugenia Walker Warren and husband Michael of Wheaton, MD; and stepson, Robert C. Stokes, Jr. and wife, Yacine, of Richmond; 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, one great-great grandson; and his former spouse and friend Evelyn Jackson of Olney, MD.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 PM, Tuesday, August 23, 2011, at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Spotsylvania, VA. Burial will follow at 1:00 PM at Culpeper National Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
