Teddy Ray Boatright, 78, of Fredericksburg passed away on Monday May 7, 2018, with his devoted wife, Wanda, at his bedside.  Teddy was born on April 28, 1940 in Woodway, Va. to Creed Kelly and Mae (Campbell) Boatright.  After high school, Teddy joined the US Air Force for four years, before transferring to the US Army, being discharged in 1968.  He married Wanda Bishop on January 15, 1965 in Big Stone Gap, Va. and they lived in several states with Teddy's job in the FAA, from which he retired in 2001.  Teddy was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Elks Lodge #875, Moose Lodge #1655 and Knight of Pythias Lodge #22.  Survivors include his wife, Wanda; brother, Creed K. Boatright, Jr. (Phoebe); sister, Barbara Tucker, three nephews and one niece.  Teddy was preceded in death by his brother, James Boatright. Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 9, 2018 from 6 pm to 8 pm, with the Knights of Pythias rites performed at 7 pm, at Laurel Hill Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel and interment in Laurel Hill memorial Park with Military Honors performed by the US Army Color Guard.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests gifts to either the Shriners Hospitals, donate.lovetotherescue.org or St. Jude, stjude.org.
