Thomas Benjamin LaPole, 85 of Locust Grove, VA passed away at UVA Culpeper Hospital on Wednesday, April 15, 2015. Thomas was born on September 5, 1929 to Charles C. and Irene C. LaPole, Sr. in Catonsville, MD. He joined the US Army in May 1951, serving in Germany until May, 1953. Thomas began working as a book binder with the US Printing Office in Washington, DC in early 1960's. He married Dorothy Elizabeth (nee Mallison) Ambrose on August 28, 1963 celebrating 50 years in 2013. Thomas retired from the Printing Office after over 30 years of service. They moved to the Locust Grove area in 1972.
Survivors include; his wife, Dorothy; son David (Tammy) LaPole; Step-son John (Sharah) Ambrose; brother; Charles (Alberta) LaPole, 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and many other relatives.
Thomas was preceded in death by a son; Tommy, in 2005 and a grandson, Tommy and 1 brother.
