Thomas "Tom" Evans, 68, of Fredericksburg passed away surrounded by family Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Tom was born to Robert "Bob" and Bernice Evans on September 18, 1949 in Caretta, W. Va. Tom was honorably discharged after serving in the US Navy during Vietnam. He retired as a Computer Specialist with the Department of the Army serving over 30 years. Survivors include; his wife of 50 years, Diana, three daughters; Theresa Roberson, Trina Armstrong, Tiffany Lawrence; 2 sisters, Susan Honaker, Ida Thompson; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 25, 2017 from 6 to 8 pm at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, with funeral services held on Tuesday, September 26, in the funeral home chapel at 11 am, with Pastor Zac Ashley officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park, with Military Honors.
