Obituary

Thornton Llewellyn (TL) Fletcher, 86, of Spotsylvania passed away Wednesday Feb. 27, 2013 at Mary Washington Hospital.
TL was born on Feb. 25, 1927 to Thornton Lenwood and Ellena Peacher Fletcher in Spotsylvania County, Va.
He is survived by his wife Lillian Lee Hicks Fletcher.
TL served in the US Army during WWII in Germany. He retired after 20 years from FMC, and then worked as a truck driver for Wilson Trucking. He then co-owned Priddy and Fletcher Painting. TL was a charter member and served for over 50 years as a deacon of the Belmont Baptist Church.
Survivors include: 2 Sons; Paul Bryant Fletcher and wife Sherri, Gregory James Fletcher and wife Brenda; 2 Daughters; Sandra Lee Grubbs and husband Edwin, Deborah Kay Stoltzfus and husband Donald; 1 sister Earlene Palmer and husband Walter; 10 Grandchildren and 17 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. TL was preceded in death by 7 brothers and 3 sisters.
Visitation will be held Saturday Mar. 2, 2013 at 1 pm, at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Spotsylvania, with funeral services beginning at 2 pm with Pastor Daniel Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to Gideons International at www.gideons.org or
