Mr. Meloy passed away at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, Va. Born in Indiana and a graduate of The University of Louisville, Mr Meloy was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. While at the university Mr. Meloy met his wife of 52 years, Anne Clubb. A veteran of the United States Navy, Mr. Meloy served aboard the aircraft carrier Wasp, during WWII and was awarded a special commendation for outstanding photographic work while aboard ship. Mr. Meloy retired after 28 years of service with the CIA. He and his wife, Anne moved to the Fredericksburg area in 1990 from Fairfax, Va. besides his wife, Anne, Mr. Meloy is survived by two daughters: Linda Meloy of Leesburg, Va. and Debra Meloy Elmegreen of New York. A son-in-law Bruce and two grandchildren, Lauren and Scott. The family received friends, Tuesday July 30, 2002 at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, where a service was held on Wednesday July 31, 2002. Internment followed at Quantico National Cemetery.
