Mr. Timothy "Timmy" Edward Cook, age 28, of Abingdon, Virginia, passed away Saturday (March 26, 2016) from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Born July 11, 1987 in Woodbridge, Virginia, he was a son of Donna Ann Platt of Dumfries, Virginia. He was a graduate of Riverbend High School in Fredericksburg, Virginia and had formerly been employed as a carpenter.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his step-father, Ronald Platt of Alexandria, Virginia; two brothers, Justin Platt and Casey Platt both of Dumfries; maternal grandparents, Donald and Mildred Cook of Abingdon, Virginia; aunt, Tammy Conner and husband, Jerry of Manassas, Virginia; uncle, Jeff Cook and wife, Jody of Fredericksburg, Virginia; cousins, Christopher Conner of Manassas, Amanda Mele and Katie Cook both of Fredericksburg, Virginia.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home, Honaker, Virginia on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Fredricksburg, Virginia. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday at Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
