Todd Vincent Edwards (59) passed away suddenly on April 5, 2024, in his home surrounded by his family.

Todd was born October 20, 1964, in Akron, Ohio. He graduated from Southmoreland High School and entered the United States Navy shortly thereafter, serving proudly for 28 years. Todd earned the Meritorious Service Medal, five Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medals, and five Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medals among many others. During this time, he also earned his bachelor's degree in criminology from Saint Leo University. He retired from the Navy in 2012 and continued his role as a leader for the military as a DOD contractor. During his "quasi retirement" years he loved to travel, relax on his boat, Fannie June, and spend time with his family and friends.

Todd is survived by his wife Dr. April Kiser-Edwards of Spotsylvania, VA, their children Caitlin Edwards of Orlando, FL, Meredith Edwards of Kailua, HI, Bayleigh Edwards of Portsmouth, VA, Spencer Edwards of Portsmouth, VA, Megan Kiser of Suffolk, VA, Chace Edwards of Spotsylvania, VA and four grandchildren. He was preceded to heaven by his mother and father. Todd was a deeply beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, uncle, cousin, brother, and friend. His passing was sudden and unexpected.

He was a rock to many, a master advice cultivator, an incredible cheerleader, a leader in faith, a top tier laugh curator, and even a friend to all and always in your corner. To his family he was bigger than life and his most favorite roles were serving as a man of God, husband and dad. He was the greatest friend, a dedicated Naval officer, a diehard Steeler's fan, a chef, and a comedian.

His family will host a viewing at Laurel Hills Funeral Home from 6 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, located at 10127 Plank Road, Spotsylvania, VA 22553 followed by his memorial service on April 11, 2024, at 10 am. You are invited to share pictures or memories. It was his wish that we would laugh, reminisce, and smile together during this time.
