William L. Anthony, age 82, of Locust Grove, Virginia, died on February 4, 2004, at Mary Washington Hospital. He was born February 18, 1921 in Detroit, Michagan. He was preceded in Greener Pastures by his wife, Catherine, in 1988.
Surviving are his son, Richard C. Anthony, and his wife, Claudia, of New Windsor, Maryland;daughter Sr. Mahima, M.C., of Calcutta, India; daughter Christine Sumner and her husband Keith of Fredericksburg; Daughter Mary C. Anthony, of Rochester, Washington; and six grandchirldren. Also surviving are his sister Margaret Lentini and her husband Nicholas of West Palm Beach, Florida.
Visiting hours will be Monday February 9, from 6 to 8 PM, with the Rosary at 7:45, at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, 10127 Plank Rd., Spotsylvania. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, February 10, at 9:45 AM, St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9151 Elys Ford Rd. (Rte. 610), Fredericksburg, with interment to follow at Quantico National Cemetery.
William requested that in lieu of flowers any donations be made to the Missionaries of Charity (directed to Haiti or Africa at 335 E. 145th St., Bronx, Ny 10451.
