William "Bill" Cole, 79, of Locust Grove, VA passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at his home.  Bill was born on June 19, 1943, in Richmond, VA.

Bill studied at Florida State University, receiving his Bachelors of Science and his Master of Science degrees, both in Biology.  Bill managed Quality Control for pharmaceutical research, was a member of the Lake of the Woods Church, an avid golfer, and a talented woodworker.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Eleanor Phillips and Wesley Stevenson Cole, and two daughters, Heather and Jessica.

Cherishing his memory are his wife of 51 years, Sharon Elaine Winecoff Cole, daughters Rebecca Marie Cole and Catherine Cole Hontos, and son Kevin William Cole, along with his son-in-law, Jimmy Hontos.  He will be remembered as an adoring Papa to his three grandchildren; Liliana Cole-Schlosser, Rosalyn Hontos, and Konnor Hontos.  He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Bonnie Cole of Murfreesboro, TN.

A Memorial Service will be held at Lake of the Woods Church on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lake of the Woods Church R.I.S.E (Religious Instruction in Special Education) program. https://www.lowchurch.org/cmo_ rise/
