William (Billy) S. Green, born Jan. 24, 1918, of Stafford, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, March 6, 2006.
Billy & Monnie enjoyed 68 wonderful years together. Their union produced seven children, eighteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Monnie Green of Stafford, three sons, Ezra Green of Brookneal, VA., David Green of Myrtle Beach, SC and Thomas Green of Fredericksburg, VA, four daughters, Ann Kimberlin of Yorktown, VA, Elaine Shaw of Fredericksburg, VA, Barbara Houck of West Jefferson, NC and Rose Cohen of Fredericksburg, VA. He is also survived by his sister, Daisy Sorrell of King George, VA.
The three great loves of Billy's life were his family, church and bluegrass music.
Rev. Craig Polston of the Kingdom Baptist Church, will conduct a funeral service Saturday, March 11, 2006 at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Spotsylvania, VA. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 -8:00 PM at Laurel Hill Funeral Home, Spotsylvania.
